Charnock Hall School Council is made up of a representative from each of the classes from Year 6 to Year 2. They meet once a week on a Tuesday with Miss Barnes and talk about issues that they or their classes would like raised.
The projects they are working on at the moment include:
*restocking the playground bins with equipment
*start a stationery shop
How do you get to be a school council representative?
Every year at the beginning of September, everybody who would like to run to be on school council have to fill in their own manifesto. This is to tell people in their class what they would like to do if they got on the school council. The children then have to present themselves to the rest of the class which is then followed by a secret ballot to elect the representative. That person then gets to be representative for the whole year.
If you want to run for school council next year, you could start thinking about what you would like to do for Charnock now. Get thinking!!
